Even fast food restaurants custom-make their sandwiches to please the local culture and preferences of their customers in their particular area.

From the Huffington Post, we learn Subway has nearly 38,000 locations in 100 countries, and as they aim to please locals they offer nearly 37 million variations on their cylinder-shaped sandwiches.

Here is a slideshow from Huffpost Taste with just a few of the many ways Subway tweaks a bit of meat, a long bun and usually some lettuce to accommodate local tastes.

About Marty Martindale

Foodsite Magazine and Marty aim to help the cooking-challenged avoid dependence on others due to lack of cooking knowhow. We concentrate on quick breakfasts, portable lunches and “good-4-u” night meals. With readily available web translation, the magazine explains separate foods, a little of their history, their nutrition, suggested “go-withs,” serving ideas and links to foodsites with recipes.
