Bacon was once an every-morning boring morning egg companion and little else. Now, it seems, everyone is playing with bacon’s unique fatty sweetness and crispiness. We’re learning bacon’s great any time of the day, in cold as well as hot dishes, even as dessert.

There’s a dizzying array of new ways:  It gets infused with alcohol, arrives as a smothering sauce, wraps just about anything, finds its way into pastries, candy, seafood and ice cream, even sundaes! It also gets combined with the flavors like mint or chocolate. Plus, there’s bacon salt, bacon jam, bacon candy even bacon lip gloss and bacon dental floss
