Escargot reminds us of special restaurants and special occasions. However, a friend gave me some  escargot dishes, each with six little wells for the snail and much melted butter laced with Anisette, a whole lot of garlic and a  touch of nutmeg. This, of course, called for lots of crispy-crumbly French bread for dunking. “Hog heaven.”  mm
